What are your breakfast timings?
We offer breakfast from 7am to 10am (Monday – Friday), and 7am to 11am at weekends. Breakfast is served in our ground floor restaurant.

What’s on your breakfast menu?
Our three-step breakfast menu takes the hassle out of deciding what to eat while offering you a delicious way to start the day!

Book online and pay just £10 (or £12.50 on the day).

Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Choose from: sourdough, toasted bagel, or gluten-free bread.
Choose any two toppings: maple syrup, cream cheese, beans, scrambled eggs, avocado, bacon, smoked salmon.
Step 2: Choose one hot and one cold drink from: latte, macchiato, hot chocolate, cappuccino, flat white, Americano, espresso, Tea Pigs’ selection of teas, orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice.
Step 3: Choose your yoghurt or pastry: natural yoghurt & strawberry coulis, natural yoghurt & apricot coulis, natural yogurt, soya yoghurt, croissant, pain au chocolate, double chocolate chip or blueberry muffin, or fresh fruit salad.

We appreciate that your requirements can differ day to day, so you’re welcome to order as many (or as few) items from the menu as you please. If you have any questions, just ask one of our friendly hosts who will be happy to help you.

Do you serve lunch and dinner?
We have an extensive lunch and dinner menu, with food served from 2pm to 10pm daily. Just visit our ground floor restaurant and you’ll be sure to find something that takes your fancy – from curry to pizza, and salads.

There are also a number of excellent restaurants within a short walk of the hotel such as The Japanese Canteen, Arepa, Sager + Wilde or Chiranguito. And if you join our EastLondoner membership programme, you can score exclusive discounts at these eateries! Sign up to membership

Does the hotel have a bar or a cafe?
Both! The café offers a range of hot drinks and snacks and is situated on the ground floor.

Our bar is the perfect place to relax, work, socialise or just unwind after a long day. Open until late, we serve a wide range of beverages including traditional and craft beers, cocktails and more.

Be sure to try our signature cocktail, Paradise Rose – and guess the ingredients!


Location & Surrounding Area

Where is the hotel located?
The East London Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of one of London’s most vibrant areas.

We are just a one-minute walk from Bethnal Green underground station (Central Line). Shoreditch, with its numerous bars, restaurants and shops, is just moments away in an Uber or a 15 minute walk. Paradise Row, located behind the hotel, is another thriving part of east London waiting to be explored with its bars and restaurants.

Our hotel has 161 guest bedrooms.

I love being outdoors – are there any parks nearby?
Absolutely! Right across the road from the hotel is the V&A Museum of Childhood, with its stunning gardens.

In addition, Victoria Park, one of London’s largest green spaces and host to numerous festivals, a boating lake and tennis courts, is a short walk from the hotel.

What if I fancy a run?
We’re very well located for you take advantage of some great running routes. Check for more ideas.

I love working out – Are there any gyms nearby?
There are a number of gyms very close to the hotel, among them York Hall leisure centre just across the road from us with its 33m indoor swimming pool. CrossFit London is also a short walk away.

Cycling is a great way to get around town, and there is a Santander bicycle docking station next to the hotel.

How about places for relaxation?
We’ve got you covered. The Buddhist Centre for Meditation, Yoga and Mindfulness is a 2 minutes walk away. We also recommend MASAJ, just a short walk from the hotel.

Do you have a car park?
Though the East London Hotel doesn’t have a car park of its own, we suggest that guests use a reliable parking app (such as Just Park) to find suitable nearby facilities.

We pride ourselves on our approach to sustainability and encourage visitors to use public transport – especially with the ease of access offered by nearby Bethnal Green tube station – as often as possible.

Can I store my luggage at the hotel?
You are welcome to keep your luggage at the hotel from the day of your arrival until you check out. For safety reasons, we can’t store luggage for longer periods.

Can you accept a delivery on my behalf?
We can accept deliveries for guests during the time of their stay (the recipient’s name must match the guest’s name on the reservation). For safety reasons, we are unable to accept any kind of deliveries before check-in, or after check out.

Any deliveries received outside of the guest’s stay term will be returned and are not the responsibility of The East London Hotel. By having any items delivered to us, you agree that The East London Hotel cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged goods.

Can I bring my kids?
Of course! Please bear in mind the following:

Standard double rooms are designed for a maximum occupancy of two adults. One child under the age of 10 can stay in the room, occupying the same bed, at no extra cost.

If you are being accompanied by a child (or children) over the age of 10, a twin room or family room can be booked. Interconnecting rooms are available. Email and we will be happy to help make arrangements.

Alternatively, when booking multiple rooms through our website, simply request connecting rooms (or adjacent rooms) in the “comments” section.


House Rules

Can I smoke in the hotel?
To ensure the complete comfort of our guests, The East London Hotel operates a completely smoke free policy. This includes all forms of tobacco product including e-cigarettes.

Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets, but we welcome guide dogs and service animals. Please ensure that you bring all relevant documentation.

Do you have a 24-hour reception?
Our check-in desk is staffed 24 hours a day.

If you plan to check in after 10pm, please use the intercom facility to connect to one of our ambassadors, who will be on hand to assist you.

Is there a minimum age policy?
You must be at least 18 years of age to stay alone at The East London Hotel.

I lost something at the hotel. What can I do?
We understand that personal items can sometimes get left behind, especially when you’re in a hurry. But don’t worry, we will store any recovered personal effects for up to three months. Simply send us an email with the details (your name, room number, description of item) and we can arrange the rest with you.


Bookings, Cancellations & Refunds

How do I make a reservation?
Our website is the best way to check availability and to secure a room at our best rates. You can also call us and we’ll be happy to help you make a reservation.

How do I know that my booking has been confirmed?
A confirmation message will appear on your screen once your online booking is complete. You will also receive an email confirmation shortly after (please also check your Spam/Junk folder).

You can request a new confirmation by starting a chat through our website, or via email.

Do I need a credit card?
A valid credit card/debit card is required to secure your booking. Payment can be made at the time of booking, or when checking-in.

All cards are pre-authorised upon check-in, to the amount of £50. This amount is refunded as soon as you check out of the hotel. In the event of damage to the room, this pre-authorised amount will be charged.

Can I pay by cash?
Please note that our hotel is cash-free. Only chip and pin credit and debit card payments are accepted.

On advance purchase bookings – the same card used to make the reservation will be required for a pre authorization of £50 with chip and pin when checking in at the hotel.

How do I cancel my reservation?
Call us on 020 3146 1960 or email with your reservation details, and one of our team will be happy to assist you with cancelling your reservation. Terms and Conditions apply.

Can I charge my bar/restaurant bills to my room?
Bar and café bills must be settled by credit or debit card at the time of purchase.

How can I make a multiple room booking?
Our website allows you to make multiple room bookings, but if you require more than 10 rooms please email us on
